Kuvaverkko x Save the Children Finland
Food for Life Through School Photography Collaboration
Kuvaverkko has been supporting Save the Children (Pelastakaa Lapset) and their work in the domestic field for several years. Increasing financial hardship continues to challenge the daily lives of many Finnish families with children and threatens children’s well-being. In October 2025, Kuvaverkko and Save the Children established a long-term partnership aimed at supporting children from low-income families and young people at risk of social exclusion within Finland.
Kuvaverkko supports Save the Children’s Eväitä Elämälle (Food for Life) Program*, which promotes equality, inclusion and healthy development for children and young people. As part of the program, food aid is distributed and children and youth from low-income families are supported through hobby support and mentoring.
Together in Support of Low-Income Families in Finland
Kuvaverkko directs a portion of the online store sales of its collaboration products to the Food for Life Program by Save the Children Finland. In addition, additional support is generated from each new Food for Life photography contract concluded with a school. This allows us to provide even greater help together.
“We want to thank Kuvaverkko for advancing the well-being of children and young people in Finland. Together we can influence matters that have a long-term impact on children’s lives. The role of companies in building a sustainable and just society is central. Kuvaverkko and the schools involved serve as a wonderful example to other communities,” says Johanna Mäkelä, Head of Corporate Partnerships at Save the Children Finland.
”Kuvaverkko photographs hundreds of thousands of children and young people in Finland each year. That’s why supporting equality for children and young people through school photography and directing aid specifically to benefit them is important to us. Our collaboration with Save the Children Finland and schools further strengthens and elevates our commitment to supporting low-income families in Finland. We are excited and grateful to do good together”, says Petri Karjalainen, CEO of Kuvaverkko.
